Tuesday night was an evening to forget for Tottenham fans. Despite it being perhaps their biggest game of the season, the Lilywhites fell well short against Ajax.
They’ve now got it all to do in the second-leg against the Dutch outfit, and that’s far from an ideal situation.
One man that certainly didn’t have his best game was Kieran Tripper. He’s not had the best season, to put it lightly, and his performance against Ajax serves as somewhat of a microcosm of that. Lacking consistency, quality and energy, the Englishman was poor.
Kieran Trippier lost possession 28 times against Ajax, more times than any other player on the pitch.

Unsurprisingly, this has frustrated loads of Spurs fans online, with plenty of fans taking to Reddit to admit their anger. Trippier was a popular man last term, but he’s lost the support of the Spurs faithful, it seems. Some are even calling for him to be sold! See what they’ve had to say below…
