Koeman should drop these 2 Everton players against Burnley – agreed?

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t enjoying their season at the moment…

Despite the optimism that was building at the start of the season, expectations have hit rock bottom over the last few weeks, and another poor result in Europe in mid-week has only made things worse.

The Toffees were unable to win once again in the group stage, eventually drawing 2-2 with Apollon Limassol.

It was a very disappointing result, but Koeman can’t let it affect his team. To the contrary, the result makes their upcoming clash with Burnley all the more important.

It’s a must-win game for Everton. A loss could see them drop further in the Premier League table, and given that their European hopes are now hanging by a thread somewhat, the domestic league is as important as ever.

Koeman, then, must get his team selection spot on, and the game in mid-week will have given him an idea of who isn’t up to snuff.

With that said, Koeman should drop these 2 Everton players against Burnley – agreed?

 Ashley Williams

Another game, another mistake from Ashley Williams.

The defender has really struggled for form this season, and Ronald Koeman seriously needs to take action.

He simply hasn’t been good enough this term, and whilst Everton aren’t exactly blessed with defensive depth, there must be something that Koeman can do here.

Williams is proving to be a disaster waiting to happen at the back at present.

 Sandro Ramirez

Sandro Ramirez’s start to life in the Premier League hasn’t been very good.

He has been poor over the last few weeks, and his display in mid-week was no different. Lethargic, lifeless and disappointing – Koeman needs another solution.

Fortunately, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is on the bench, and he has looked good this term. Sure, Koeman won’t want to give up on his big-money signing, but at present, Ramirez is providing nothing for this team.
