The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the January transfer market these days, with manager Ronald Koeman likely to be backed by some rather big funds indeed.
Though this season has proved a frustratingly inconsistent one for the Toffees, the notion of splashing the cash to bring in reinforcements is a mouth-watering one for our Merseyside drinkers.
Well, reports from BBC Sport claiming Koeman’s side are making moves on TWO transfer fronts have come as good news to the Goodison Park faithful.
They claim the club are closing in on an £11m deal for Charlton Athletic ace Ademola Lookman, who is reportedly expected to undergo a medical with the club shortly.
Director of football Steve Walsh is understood to view the 19-year-old as someone who can make an impact immediately, despite the fact the Addicks are said to have wanted him back on loan.
Not only that, but Everton are also expected to make further moves on their interest in Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, despite reportedly having a £19m offer recently snubbed.
The Frenchman played under Koeman at Southampton and Everton are thought to be readying another bid for him in the coming days.
