According to Raphael Honigstein, Borussia Dortmund’s staggering asking price for wonderkid Jadon Sancho has discouraged lots of top European clubs, but Manchester United are undeterred by the growing financial crisis and determined to push a contract over the line.
Speaking to German channel Sport1, the journalist claims the Red Devils are confident they will be able to sort out an agreement worth over €100m for the 20-year-old, with chief executive Ed Woodward working hard behind the scenes to finalise all of the details.
Since arriving in Germany from Manchester City for only £7m back in 2017, Sancho has put in a string of impressive performances over the years, scoring 14 goals and producing 15 assists in the Bundesliga this season (WhoScored). Naturally, his displays have caught the eyes of many potential suitors, including the likes of Premier League rivals Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, and his former club.
After months of speculation, it seems like the England international could be set for a move to Old Trafford, as it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has usurped Blues boss Frank Lampard in the race to sign the youngster.

Understandably, loads of United fans are delighted by the reporter’s update, with one enthusiastic supporter dubbing Solskjaer’s side a “gargantuan club.”
