Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are already thinking about next season with this season looking like a dead rubber now.
Indeed, despite their form picking up in 2017 their form for the first part of this season was nothing short of woeful as players under-performed and the stadium move clearly didn’t have the impact that was wanted.
That’s all in the past now, though, and this summer will allow the club to go again with building a better squad as well as getting some of the deadwood out.
It appears, too, that some of said deadwood wants to leave themselves with Gokhan Tore certainly leaving that impression.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Fanatik (via turkish-football.com,) the flop winger who signed on loan said:
“I feel more comfortable here [Turkey.] I cannot wait to return [to Besiktas.] I believe everything will be beautiful after the recovery of my heath first.”
It looks as though his stay will come to an end in east London pretty sharpish, then, and not too many Hammers here by the bar are that fussed by that.
Tore has suffered with injuries and when fit he hasn’t performed well so our landlord, like our punters, think that a move back to his home country will be best for everyone.
