Leeds United got their Championship campaign off to an absolute flier on Sunday when they put Gary Rowett’s Stoke City to the sword at Elland Road, coming out 3-1 winners. However, one of the key performers in the win was new signing, Barry Douglas, who got an assist on his debut from left-back.
Fanstastic start to the season and a great atmospehere for my debut in a Leeds shirt but it is only one game, it’s important we all don’t get ahead of ourselves so let’s take it game by game always learning and see what we can achieve together #LUFC #MOT #BD3 pic.twitter.com/Z5KCRnOQ0f

Douglas tore up the Championship for Wolves last season, scoring an incredible five goals and registering 14 assists from left-back. If the defender can get even half that number this season for Bielsa then he will have been money well spent as the Whites will be targetting a return to the Premier League, even if they do all seem adamant to take the Championship one game at a time.
BD3 won’t take much time to adjust to life at Elland Road and he’ll be looking to add to his already impressive debut when the club travels to face Frank Lampard’s Derby on Saturday in the later kick off at 5:30. Pride Park will be packed out to see the two new Championship managers go to head to head and it if Leeds can make it six points from two games then it will really set down a marker, seeing as those two wins will have come against two of the sides who are being backed for promotion by many punters this season.
