Leeds United have started to kick into gear this summer after a lot fo frustration from the fans. The next few days could see the likes of Patrick Bamford, Barry Douglas and Jack Harrison all join Marcelo Bielsa, however, the fans won’t be happy if Ronaldo Vieira is allowed to leave, with The Yorkshire Evening Post claiming that Sampdoria have tabled a bid for the midfielder.

The Italian club, who are also interested in signing West Ham United’s Pedro Obiang, have reportedly tabled a bid of around £7 million for the 20-year-old English midfielder. If the Italian outfit did manage to prise Vieira from the club then Bielsa would be silly not to include a buy-back clause in his contract, seeing as he has the potential to be an England international in years to come with his dominant midfield displays already impressing around Europe.
Vieira broke through Leeds youth ranks in 2016 and is currently just one year into a four-year contract that was signed last summer. However, after this pre-season has seen him receive limited game time it’s unclear whether or not Bielsa sees the young midfield as a first-team player or not. Leeds are famed for having a well-run youth system and players like Vieira are the club reaping the rewards of that, however, the fans will be desperate to see their young starlet stay at Elland Road.

This is a joke.. @andrearadri if you sell Vieira your no better than previous owners selling our promising academy players.. he’s got plenty of potential to improve & that’s a ridiculous fee if you are really selling himdisgraceful decision.. just as bad as when MC sold Cook!!

It’d be very strange to me if Leeds let him go.

Even if he is down the pecking order. Should not sell. Sends out wrong message and is a player with big potential.

Do not sell him!! That clown Thomas Christiansen destroyed his confidence last season!! #lufc

It seems clear from the handful of tweets above that the fans are desperate to keep Vieira on board this summer.
