The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern were shocked when they saw their club’s tweet congratulating their nine internationals. The club tweeted a link to the Leeds United website where they detailed each of their international Whites and who they’d be facing whilst representing their countries during the March friendlies.
The Leeds fans propping our bar up were absolutely shocked to read that nine of their players had been chosen to play international football, given the awful form of the club at the moment. Leeds are currently 14th in the Championship table and have won just a single game since the turn of the year, despite early season hopes of playing Premier League football next season. Instead, The Elland Road faithful look destined to suffer their 14th straight season outside the top flight.
Our local Leeds fans will be hoping the players can kick on after returning from international football as they look to get some momentum going to try and give the supporters something to cheer about. Paul Heckingbottom’s side looks to suffer more mid-table mediocrity but the manager will be looking ahead to a more successful season this time next year.
With that in mind here’s the verdict of the shocked Whites in the bar:
If there are 9 internationals in the squad ..can someone please explain why the team are under achieving on such a massive scale?

Think that says way more about international football than it does #LUFC!

Hopefully they’ll play better for them than they do for us then….
