Leeds United: Marcelo Bielsa piles the praise on Klich in press conference

Mateusz Klich is enjoying his time in the Premier League with Leeds and has been a key player in the side so far this campaign. Marcelo Bielsa was speaking in his press conference and was full of praise for the Polish star.

What Bielsa had to say about Klich

Bielsa said: “Klich, for me, can play in all the best teams in the world. So, he is in Leeds by chance. It doesn’t have to do with the fact I decided he continued at Leeds.

“In the first pre-season, I asked him if he would consider playing at centre-back but it so happened in the game before the season started, against Las Palmas, the candidates for the player to play as the eight started falling away. Ronaldo, Forshaw and their absences allowed him to play. Never absent since.

“In all cases, all the praise should go to him and Orta who brought him here.”

The manager is right to speak so highly of the Leeds player

The Polish midfielder has definitely been a vital asset for Leeds this season. When you break down his stats, you can see that he has been contributing at both ends of the pitch. He has picked up two goals and three assists (WhoScored), managing 1.8 key passes a game. Meanwhile defensively, he has managed 1.7 tackles and one interception per game. Overall in his career, he has scored 45 goals, with 19 of those coming at Leeds. (Transfermarkt).

The praise he has received from Bielsa makes complete sense and is very much deserved. With players like Klich in the side, Leeds should have enough quality to avoid the drop this campaign.
