Leeds United sporting director Victor Orta still likes Wolves winger Adama Traore, with the Whites named in a fresh transfer update regarding the Spain international.

Traore has been on the radar at Elland Road for some time now, with speculation continuing in the summer. Reports suggested that Leeds even made an approach for the 26-year-old, who Jurgen Klopp labelled 'undefendable'.

As we know, the Spaniard remained at Molineux, although he is out of contract at the end of the season, and rumours are underway ahead of the January window.

The Latest: Traore interest from Leeds

90min provided an update regarding Traore on Friday, claiming that Tottenham retain an interest in the forward.

The report said that Spurs aren’t willing to pay big in the New Year, with clubs in Europe preparing pre-contract offers.

They added that ‘Leeds United - and director of football Victor Orta in particular - like Traore’.

The Verdict: Not needed

Jesse Marsch has plenty of wide options at his disposal already, including Luis Sinisterra, Jack Harrison and Crysencio Summerville.

Brenden Aaronson and Wilfried Gnonto are also able to line out on the flanks if required, so it seems as if Traore is not needed at Elland Road.

A new centre-forward and left-back have been described as the ‘obvious routes’ for improvement at Leeds by Beren Cross, so it could be worth prioritising those areas instead.

Should Traore become a free agent in the summer, then perhaps a move can be revisited again. For now, though, the Whites seem well-stocked in that department.
