Prior to last night’s celebrations, Leicester City used the end of the decade to reflect on the meteoric rise of a certain Jamie Vardy.

Currently the Premier League’s top scorer, the former England international has gone from playing in non-league football to lifting the top prize on these shores with the Foxes during their sensational title-winning campaign. Having bagged 97 goals in the top tier despite only making his debut there in 2015, it truly is a remarkable story.
Indeed, so much so that there were suggestions his life would be made into a biopic in the aftermath of Leicester’s title win a few years ago, so the club’s decision to post a memory of his journey on Twitter yesterday was fully justified.

Not only that, but it went down really well too. Clearly a hero over in the East Midlands for what he’s done for the club over the years, a number of supporters showed their support for Vardy.

Possibly the find of the decade for this wonderful club on their perch!
Jamie will always remain undisputed king of Leicester City Football Club.

Vardy is an inspiration to all footballers playing non league or those who haven’t made it big yet. Even in your mid/late twenties, if you work hard & get the breaks, anything is possible.
