Leicester City fans must be dreaming of a repeat of that incredible title-winning season of 2015/16, and who can blame them considering the form they’re in at the moment. The main factor in that appears to be Jamie Vardy returning to the peak of his powers, and the fans just can’t get enough.
The club posted a stat on Twitter, which read that the Englishman has scored 25 goals in 26 games under Brendan Rodgers. He’s currently the Premier League’s top scorer on 16, five in front of second-placed duo Tammy Abraham and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while James Dutton at the Daily Mail has claimed he’s the best striker in the league over Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane.
By the sound of Leicester fans on Twitter, they certainly agree. Many fans replied to the tweet from the club in shock at his lightning form to express just how great they think he is. Some even said he doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
