‘Let’s hope some good news’ - Tottenham fans on Twitter react to exciting transfer rumour

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story from Paris United that claims the North London outfit have agreed to a deal in principle with Fulham for young star, Ryan Sessegnon. The teenage-sensation has bagged 15 goals and six assists as he’s appeared in every Championship game for the Cottagers this season.

The young full-back turned winger has been one of the most influential players in England this season. A number of top clubs have been vying for the signature of the youngster, who has also been touted with an England call-up to Garet Southgate’s World Cup squad this summer. If the Fulham man does get the call, he could have a very successful summer, being apart of his first World Cup and then securing a move to a Premier League giant.

Fulham narrowly missed out on automatic promotion this season as they failed to catch Neil Warnock’s Cardiff in the last few weeks of the Championship season. Yesterday the Cottagers chase came to an end as they lost 3-1 away at Birmingham to confirm a 3rd place finish and a play-off semi-final against Derby County as they hope to get to the Wembley play-off final on the 26th May. To win promotion at Wembley would be a fitting end for Sessegnon as he prepares for a move across London to N17.
