With Chelsea having lost over the course of the weekend, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have a renewed sense of hope in regards to the Premier Leauge title.
While Spurs have some catching up to do if they are going to be considered genuine challengers, Mauricio Pochettino’s vibrant young side are continuing to impress.
In fact, so much so that there have been big reports in regards to some of the homegrown players impressing so much at White Hart Lane of late. According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen on the likes of Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose.
Now, Spurs have somewhat of a history of selling their best players, though fans online do not believe Pep’s City slickers have much of a chance in landing them, citing the notorious Dan Levy as the main stumbling block.
That’s not to say there isn’t some trepidation in regards to the story, so here’s a closer look at how Spurs fans reacted.

60m is great from business perspective but awful competitively, doubt levy would push it unless we were in desperate need financially

So he wants Levy to sack Pochettino in order to manage Spurs? https://t.co/Hd7F70sdyO

I hope we use Shaw as leverage to get Dier or Rose from Spurs. Gonna be hard to get anyone off Daniel Levy now for under £50 million.

Guardiola apparently wants Alli, Rose and Walker this summer. I assume Pep has never heard of Daniel Levy. Good luck Pep. #MCFC #THFC
