Manchester United are making noises that they will have the necessary finances to secure the ‘right’ player. Presumably this means Ozil, so that’s big of them in relation to a player supposedly valued at £12-£15million. But what of course does reflect is their understandable confidence in the ‘allure’ of the Manchester United brand.
Let’s face facts, it’s worked before and it’ll work again.
The player who did his best to set light to a largely indifferent tournament has supposedly stated a preference to England over Spain. The bidding circus is stepping up a pace.
Excitement at the prospect of Tottenham getting their hands on the German has seemingly caused a minor breach at Levy’s Minstry Of Information & Leaks.
Word is that the Tottenham Chairman is meeting with Weder Bremen’s and he is determined to get his man. The Germans want a replacement. The feeling is that Spurs may not be able to supply the right man from those who might be prepared to go.
With that being the case, the price must increase as the problem has then to be addressed elsewhere. My feeling is that these Swap Shop deals exist more readily in the minds of journalists than in reality. If Tottenham want to be successful here they will probably have to shell out in excess of £17Million.
And frankly, it’ll be a snip.

if tottenham can pull this off i’d be delighted. 12-15million? if we can get him for 25 i’d be happy. but who turns down united for tottenham.. plus if tottenham say they want him, it probably meant man city will just give him a 100,000 a week contract so that we cant get him.

you may remember a certain bulgarian turned down utd to join us a few seasons back. Granted that didn’t end well, but we’re alot more stable now and also have the bonus of (potential) champions league football to offer. If the reports are true, this would beat signing modric in terms of shock.
would think he would rather go to a club that will play him week in week out so if thats the case spurs could be in with a shout and if i had to choose betwen him and parker he just abouts edges it on sell on ability
United would play him every week too, he’s better than anything they have and that includes Rooney (compare them in the world cup), but I have a feeling about this one and I hope I’m right..
