Liverpool & Everton Groundshare

The piece I ran the other day on this subject was moderately well read, but received few comments and those who did stop by and share their opinion though I was talking nonsense.

Ray Houghton, pundit whore for RTE and Radio Talksport made the suggestion that weighing up all the financials for and against, that Liverpool and Everton ought give serious consideration to sharing a stadium.

I maintain this is a horrible idea. It’s santizing football. Neither side are close to winning the Premiership let alone the Champions League so why not go the whole hog and merge both sides into one good one?

Having a good working knowledge of the City I can confirm that both sides rub along pretty harmoniously. Certainly I have seen little evidence of the cave man divide that flourishes between some sides.

So you tell me. Would it be something you could live with?

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
