Liverpool: Fans mock Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s past interview amid current turmoil

Liverpool fans have been mocking Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after an interview he did from last season resurfaced on social media.

The Norwegian boss suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday as the Stretford End faithful jeered their team from the field of play. Goals from the Clarets’ Chris Wood and Jay Rodriguez ensured that the Lancashire-based outfit went back to Turf Moor with all three points. As a result, his team received heavy scrutiny after the final whistle.

Following Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last season, Solskjaer gave an interview to his ex-teammate Gary Neville, who was working for BeIN Sports. Neville asked questions such as where he would like his statue, after an unforgettable night at the Parc Des Princes. Supporters howled with laughter and made their feelings clear on social media.
