Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling cautiously optimistic about the season that is set to arrive in a couple of months time.
The men from Villa Park have had a tough time of things over recent years but there can be no doubt that the club is looking more stable than it has for some time.
For sure, there is still work to do, but fans do feel that with Dr. Tony Xia at the helm of the club they are going to get back into the top flight sooner rather than later.
Xia, then, is a man who clearly loves the club and has been quick to point out that today marks a year since passing the FA’s Fit and Proper Persons test for owners.
