After a slow start to the summer, the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely delighted by the club’s work in the market.
Indeed, the arrivals of proven Premier League talents in Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez have seriously strengthened Slaven Bilic’s ranks in east London, ahead of their second campaign at the London Stadium.
So, it’s fair to say our resident Hammers are optimistic of a strong season.
As if that wasn’t good enough, reports from the Daily Telegraph today claim the Irons have made a club record bid for Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder, William Carvalho. The Euro 2016 winner is often talked about in our bar, previously being linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, so would be a coup in claret and blue.
