Spurs are Chelsea’s biggest competitors for the Premier League title this season and there’s hope that if they win their remaining games, Pochettino’s team might be able to sneak ahead of the Blues when May rolls around.

There’s been a good noise coming from the Spurs end of the Tavern in recent weeks and they’re a confident bunch right now.

But there’s a small feeling of regret that if this form would have been shown earlier on this campaign, they might even be ahead of Chelsea as the race for the title rumbles on.

But looking ahead, it’s set to be a big summer down at White Hart Lane as Mauricio Pochettino looks to build the squad he feels could do a better job of challenging next season.

And there’s a couple of players in this current Spurs side that are at risk of losing their places in the team after a pretty poor campaign this time out.

So with that in mind, here’s the TWO Tottenham players whose futures are in limbo going into the summer…

Vincent Janssen

Vincent Janssen is obviously well-liked amongst the Spurs players but there’s no doubt about it- the former Eredivisie star hasn’t warranted his place in the side for long spells this season.

He hasn’t scored enough, hasn’t created enough opportunities and at the end of the day, looks the shadow of the player that Harry Kane does.

Spurs need better if they are to challenge in Europe and for the title next season and sadly for Janssen, he just hasn’t been good enough.

Moussa Sissoko

Signed for a hefty fee last summer, French international Moussa Sissoko might’ve wished he didn’t make the move to White Hart Lane having struggled to get anywhere near the first-team squad for most of the campaign.

The former Newcastle star, who was looking for a fresh start after leaving the North East this summer, hasn’t made an impact in London in the slightest and could be sold this summer to free another first-team place for potential signings.

His talent is there but Spurs fans here in the Tavern have questioned his work-rate and commitment all season.
