West Ham supporters have been reasonably satisfied in the Transfer Tavern in recent times after seeing their team stretch their unbeaten Premier League run to six matches with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
David Moyes’ men went into their clash with the Eagles having won two and drawn the other three of their preceding five league games, a run of form which has put some distance between themselves and the division’s bottom three. And the Hammers moved another point closer to safety after coming from behind to clinch a point against Roy Hodgson’s Palace, who had taken the lead through Christian Benteke only for Mark Noble to equalise from the penalty spot just before half time to preserve a point for Moyes’ side.
Subsequently, there have been many satisfied Hammers fans in the Tavern in the last few days, although several were seriously underwhelmed by their team’s efforts in the January transfer window, with just two players arriving at the London Stadium in the form of Joao Mario and Jordan Hugill.
Yet they did reportedly express an interest in striker Islam Slimani, who made a deadline day move to fellow Premier League strugglers Newcastle United on loan from Claude Puel’s Leicester City.
And recent reports suggest that the Foxes weren’t willing to do a deal with the East London outfit following comments made by Karren Brady in The Sun last year about the club’s owners.
And this news has unsurprisingly stimulated quite a response from West Ham fans on Twitter…
And @JimWhite can’t understand why the fans get upset and angry.
And why we think the clubs a laughing stock. We should all be happy as we are 12th not 18th— Injury FC (@aplin87) February 2, 2018
She needs to refrain from any comments regarding the club or players unless it’s on the official club website!

Wasn’t it Brady who mouthed off about getting Martin O’Neill in 2010 thus not only leaving us with the woeful (but cheap) Grant, but also fatally undermining him as well.

My God! Can someone please shut Lady Brady up

From what I understand she was also instrumental in screwing up the deal to bring in Unai Emrey as manager, before Bilic was given the job, and also William Carvalho.
