It seems clear that Guardiola will need to invest heavily in his side this summer, and with Sergio Aguero regularly touted with a move away – a new striker could be a vital piece in that puzzle.
The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased, then, to hear reports emanating from the Sun suggesting that the club could look to secure a deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang this summer, one the condition that rumours are believed and Aguero does leave.
Given that the pair are arguably two of Europe’s most lethal forwards, this is certainly a deal that the Citizens can get behind. In fact, this season, Aubeamyang has been far more efficient this season – with 21 goals compared to Aguero’s 12.
With Gabriel Jesus’ rise, the possibility of Aguero leaving is certainly a regular thought amongst the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern, and if Aubemyang signs – they would all be behind the deal.
