The England skipper has been linked with a return to former club Everton recently, a topic widely debated between the United fans in the Toffees in the Tavern, so reports from the Daily Mail have provided further food for thought.
They’ve revealed Rooney WOULD be open to a move back to Goodison Park, having left Merseyside 13 years ago for the Theatre of Dreams. They are thought to have had a loan bid for United’s record goalscorer snubbed in January, though a summer return could reportedly be on the cards.
Still, the huge sums of money he earns with Man United may make a deal hard to push through, though Rooney is said to be ready to listen to offers. As you can imagine, it’s sent our locals Everton fans into dreamland.
