Things aren’t totally rosy at Old Trafford right now, though the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are doing their very best to keep the fires of optimism burning.
Jose Mourinho is yet to wholly convince them in his role within the dugout for the Red Devils, though the doubts about the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ have been pushed into the background slightly following reports from ClubCall.
They’ve revealed that ‘sources tell them that popular midfielder Ander Herrera is ready to extend his deal at the Theatre of Dreams, with the Spaniard wanting talks with top brass at the club this week.
Having joined from Athletic Bilbao in 2014, the 27-year-old has emerged as one of the most popular players at the club and even earned a call-up to the national Spanish side.
He has two years remaining on his current deal and United could reportedly take up the 12-month renewal option in order to extend his stay beyond his 30th birthday.
