Man Utd have had an uneventful January transfer window, with the club yet to bring in anyone so far this month. There are a few hours for that to change, but at present, it’s looking unlikely.
However, that doesn’t mean that it’s been a poor deadline day for the club. In fact, to the contrary, Man Utd fans have found themselves a new reason to love the 31st of January.
Of course, his previous contract was set to expire within 18 months, but he’s now happy enough to commit to the club long-term, and that’s a huge boost for the Red Devils. He’s an important player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and you’d imagine that the manager played a key role in getting the job done.
Unsurprisingly, given Martial’s fan favourite status, the Frenchman’s new deal is very popular amongst fans at Man Utd – with lots of supporters taking to Twitter to praise the deal…
