Sitting in the stands watching on as his side succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of league leaders Liverpool, Benjamin Mendy was in fact fit to play but isn’t ready (per the MEN) to play two games a week, with some supporters hinting they don’t have the luxury of waiting around.

The left-back position has been linked with City’s defensive troubles in the past, with Pep Guardiola having to utilise the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabian Delph recently to accommodate for their lack of depth in that area of the pitch.
Now, after signing Angelino back from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, it was hopeful that the champions would have more than enough cover in that area with the Spaniard, Zinchenko and Mendy all filling up the left-back quota.
However, due to persistent injury problems, City have been once again forced into a precarious position where Angelino is their only 100% match fit option.
Mendy, who has last played in the league during a 3-0 win over Aston Villa as he steadily eases his way back into the team, has now lost the patience of some blues supporters with his fitness issues – with a handful saying they should just cut ties with the Frenchman.
Time to get rid. The guy has no commitment to us at all despite lifting millions for nothing.

Wonder what happens this summer, think it’s time to depart with Ota, Bravo, Mendy, and this one will be controversial but Stones. Basically reset our defence leaving the RB’s alone, Laporte, Angelino and Ederson still standing.
