Speaking to the Daily Star surrounding this season’s almighty delay due to pressing concerns, former Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has stated that the only ‘fair‘ thing to do is restart the campaign – much to the delight of Manchester City fans.
City, who have fallen 25 points behind the league leaders this campaign, are currently sitting in second having lost two out of their last five Premier League games. Despite overcoming Jurgen Klopp’s side during one of the most thrilling title races in English football history, City’s failure to match the Reds this time round has prompted many fans to adore Cole’s take that the season should be restarted.
The ex-English midfielder endured a less-than stellar spell at Anfield during his playing career, making just 42 appearances over three seasons before departing for West Ham (WhoScored).
