According to a report from Spanish outlet AS via Sport Witness, Manchester City will be looking to poach Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita if back-up ‘keeper Claudio Bravo decides to leave the Etihad Stadium next summer – but supporters aren’t too impressed with the alleged interest.
Bravo, who has played a bit-part role for City since signing from Barcelona after a dismal debut season during the 2016/2017 campaign, is now reaching the twilight stages of his career – with the 36-year-old potentially having to decide on his future at Eastlands sooner rather than later.
Although the Chilean has made some contributions to City’s trophy haul, most notably playing a pivotal role in the 2018 Carabao Cup run, it’s reported by the outlet he could leave this summer – with Eagles stopper Guaita being dubbed as a potential replacement.
In response, Sky Blues supporters have lauded the strength of their current goalkeeping department – with prodigies Aro Muric and Zack Steffen currently out on loan gaining valuable experience.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
No bring back muric
