Responding to a throwback by Twitter account City Chief, many Sky Blues supporters have flocked to hail Sergio Aguero’s 2015 performance during the 6-1 hammering of Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium – a match where the Argentine netted five goals in just 20 minutes.
Aguero, who became the club’s all-time top goalscorer back in 2017, has since gone on to consistently bag for the Sky Blues under manager Pep Guardiola – netting 16 Premier League goals over 17 starts at the Etihad Stadium this season (WhoScored). However, despite the Argentine’s consistent form, that hasn’t been the talking point among these Sky Blues – with City Chief’s post drawing particular attention to his heroic display against Newcastle back in 2015. The 31-year-old netted five strikes in just 20 minutes against Steve McClaren’s Magpies, with the 6-1 mauling temporarily putting City back at the top of the table before Leicester City eventually went on to win the title.
In response, Sky Blues fans labelled it a ‘privilege‘ to watch the performance – drawing particular emphasis to the fact he ‘couldn’t seem to miss‘. Find all of their best comments down below.
If Aguero stayed on he would of broke records that day. He just couldn’t seem to miss.

Then Pellegrini brought him off. I’m still convinced he could’ve bagged 6 or 7 that game.
