Manchester City: Fans hammer David Alaba transfer link

According to a report from Bild via Sports Mole, Bayern Munich defender David Alaba will snub Manchester City’s reported transfer interest – opting instead for either Barcelona or Real Madrid as Sky Blues supporters hammer the ‘spent force‘ in response.

Alaba, who has plied his trade at the Allianz Arena for over a decade, making 372 appearances whilst bagging 30 goals and 48 assists from the full-back position (Transfermarkt), is reportedly being monitored by City, Barca and Real – with the Austrian international reportedly opting for the latter two over Pep Guardiola’s side.

The 27-year-old, who has accumulated more tackles on average than Kyle Walker this campaign (1.1) despite the Englishman’s resurgence under Guardiola (WhoScored), doesn’t look like he is interested in joining the Sky Blues regardless of their potential eagerness to strengthen the full-back positions.

As a result, plenty of City fans have lashed back at the report – find all of their best comments down below.
