According to a report from German newspaper Bild via AS, Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring Real Sociedad winger and previous Manchester City reported target Oyarzabal amid a potential January swoop – prompting some Sky Blues supporters to insist that the Bavarian club snap up the winger in place of long time target Leroy Sane.
Bayern have been linked with a move for City star Sane since the summer but now supporters have made a last-ditch effort to sway the German giants from trying to prise the winger away from Manchester. Fans, replying to a post from Man City Xtra, have attempted to pull the wool over Bayern’s eyes by claiming Oyarzabal is a better fit for them. When comparing their stats, it’s clear Sane has the edge over the Spaniard – amassing more dribbles per game (1.8) and registering more goals and assists from the wing last season – even with Oyarzabal’s impressive 13 strikes and two assists during the 2018/2019 season, as per WhoScored.com.
Despite this, City supporters have still attempted to deceive Bayern into taking Oyarzabal instead – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
