Manchester City picked up a hard-earned point in their exhilerating draw with relegation scrappers Middlesbrough at the Riverside yesterday in a game that did little to help Guardiola’s team really move away in the race for the Champions League!
With both Arsenal and Manchester United failing to pick up a win this weekend, it would have been an ideal game to pick up all three points from but on the day, City came up against a resolute Boro side, who, on another day, might have won the match altogether.
And there’s one man who has been impressing in the second-tier this season who has been tipped to link up with the first-team squad next season and that’s Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy, who has had a quality spell at Huddersfield Town.
Citizens fans here in the Tavern watched on recently as he picked up Town’s annual player of the year award, a gong that will only increase his reputation further.
At 26-years-old, he’s going to have to be making tracks to get into the City first-team sooner rather than later but all the signs are there that Guardiola has another seriously promising prospect at his disposal.
City fans- can we expect to see Mooy in the first-team next season? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
