Following Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp’s arrivals in the Premier League from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund respectively, both managers have gone on to be inducted into the League Manager’s Association Hall of Fame given their huge impacts in English football – but some City supporters feel like Klopp hasn’t earned the accolade.
Comparing the two coaches, Guardiola has won seven trophies since his arrival at the Etihad – including two Premier League titles, two League Cups, two Community Shields and an FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has reached two Champions League finals, winning one of them, and only just missed out on the club’s first league title in 30 years despite amassing 97 points – more than enough to clinch a title in every Premier League season bar the last two – both won by City.
Now, some City fans are making a case that Klopp hasn’t done enough in ‘English’ football to be inducted into the hall of fame.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
It’s embarrassing

Amazing how you can walk into the league’s hall of fame just by getting “close enough” of winning it.

Imagine being inducted into the Hall of Fame for a League Managers Association of a league you’ve never won.
