It is also being reported by the publication that a full-time promotion to the first-team is inevitable.
Garner featured on the club’s tour of Asia this summer, as he scored in the side’s 2-0 win over Perth Glory.
The England youth international made 25 appearances across various age groups last season, including a solitary appearance in the Premier League in the 3-1 win away to Crystal Palace.
Garner’s promise of first-team football comes amid a restructure of the club’s academy, as ex-head of the academy Nicky Butt was appointed in the new role of head of first-team development.
