A number of Manchester United supporters are fuming after a report claimed Barcelona want to sign Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.
The Uruguayan has become a hugely popular player at Old Trafford since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, scoring 18 goals in 47 appearances.
Despite this, Cavani has seen a lack of playing time come his way this season, with only two Premier League starts being handed to him between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

That has led to speculation surrounding the 34-year-old’s United future, especially as his current deal expires at the end of the season.
According to Spanish outlet Sport [via Sport Witness on Twitter], Barca are keen on signing Cavani in January but want United to sell him for free, which seems bizarre seeing as they could pen him to a pre-contract for the following summer.
