Manchester United fans have heaped praise on former midfielder Michael Carrick after one fan tweeted saying he could still play for the club.

Carrick featured for the Premier League All-Stars in their game against Manchester City Legends in Vincent Kompany’s testimonial last night.
The former Red Devil made more than 460 appearances for the club, winning a mammoth 18 trophies during a successful career at the north-west club.
The former England international signed from north London outfit Tottenham Hotspur for a fee which may have eventually risen to £18.6m (via BBC).
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield has been considerably weakened over the summer after it saw the departure of Ander Herrera. The Spaniard moved to French champions Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after his contract at Old Trafford expired.
The fans of the north-west club took to Twitter as they praised the retired midfielder, with some thinking he could ‘easily’ play for the club again.
