Manchester United are considering a swoop for Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. Kalulu has been ever present for Juventus this season, playing every single minute for the club across all competitions.
He has also chipped in two goals and three assists in Serie A, demonstrating his effectiveness in both boxes. Kalulu became a full France international in June of 2025 when he appeared against Spain during France’s UEFA Nations League match.
He is likely to be called to Didier Deschamps’s side in March for the final friendlies before next summer’s World Cup. Italian publication Tuttosport has reported that United have been keeping tabs on the player, and plan to send scouts to watch the 25-year-old at the San Siro on Saturday when Juventus take on Inter Milan.
Kalulu has other suitors in the Premier League and across Europe, and Juventus are keen to tie down the player to a new bumper four-year contract. His current deal does not expire until 2029, but the club are keen to offer him fresh terms to increase his salary to €3.5m a season.
United would likely not have a problem matching or surpassing that figure.
United keen on Kalulu

United are known to be in search of defensive reinforcements. The long term future of Harry Maguire remains uncertain with the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season.
The same can be said for Lisandro Martinez whose United career has been plagued by injuries. While United have been continuously linked with several high profile midfielders, defence is a known area of concern for the club as well.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a resurgence under interim boss Michael Carrick, winning four out of their last five matches and climbing into 4th place in the Premier League table. A return to Champions League football next season would grant the club more financial resources for next summer’s transfer window.
