Manchester United supporting punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are shocked at the news they are reading in the Express (via Tutto Mercato) – with the publication claiming that United are planning a shock double raid on Juventus for manager Massimiliano Allegri, and midfielder Paul Pogba.
This has got our resident United supporting punters going pretty crazy, with them all off to the bar to get in another Tequila shot!
Our landlord here inside the Tavern really doesn’t know what to make of this news, but strongly feels Allegri wouldn’t be the best person to take over at United – and feels someone like Carlo Ancelotti would be a much better shout.
However, the landlord admits Pogba would be a sensational purchase for the Red Devils, and would undoubtedly turn them into serious title contenders once again.
Our resident United fans enjoying a beer and burger here in the Tavern agree with the words of the landlord, and feel Pogba would be one hell of a coup for the club – but, most of them cannot envisage seeing the Frenchman in the heart of the United midfield anytime soon!
