Massive potential departures could rock Manchester City

There’s some potentially huge news set to burst the Pep Guardiola bubble surrounding Manchester City around the country and here in the Transfer Tavern, with The Mirror reporting that both Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany could be on their way out of the club.

The report suggests that Aguero and Guardiola do not have the best relationship with the new manager wanting more from the striker, despite his eleven goals in ten games so far this season.

Indeed, Aguero did not feature for City against Barcelona in the Champions League until the Catalans had put the game to bed and many feel that is indicative of a strained relationship.

Kompany, meanwhile has suffered a lot of injury issues in recent seasons and that seems to have deemed him surplus to requirements by Guardiola, who opted against playing him against Barca too despite him being reportedly fully fit.

Should the two leave many fans would surely be up in arms judging by the reaction to the news here by the bar.

One City fan here in the Tavern said: “I get that Pep is trying to enforce his authority but I think there’s a certain way to do it and he’s not doing it the right way. Getting rid of our two best players could prove massively problematic for the club.”
