Plenty of Everton fans have slammed a transfer link to former Manchester United player Memphis Depay as Calciomercato reported that the now Lyon man would cost them around €30 million (roughly £26.7 million) in the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per the outlet, Depay has also taken the interest of AC Milan and will have just a year left on his current contract by the time the window comes, meaning that the figure quoted for signing him is likely to be a cut price.

The 26-year old had enjoyed a relatively impressive season in 2019/20 for French outfit, scoring 14 goals and making two assists in 18 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.

However, Depay has also missed 23 matches in this campaign alone through various injury problems (via the website).
The ex-Man United forward arguably flopped in the Premier League too, netting just twice and providing one mere assist 33 appearances across two terms (per Transfermarkt).
These Toffees slammed the link on Twitter, citing his injury issues – one labelled him “injury prone” – and his poor previous spell in the top flight as reasons not to sign the Netherlands international:
