The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have spent the day fearing the worst ahead of their side’s next game. It has been a fantastic few weeks for the Lilywhites, but with a game against Man Utd occurring this weekend, fans in the pub aren’t sure what to expect. The Red Devils, likewise, have enjoyed a stellar start to the season, and so it is going to be a massive test for Mauricio Pochettino.
Unfortunately, his task has gotten much harder as of today, with the Argentine confirming that Harry Kane is set to miss the clash through injury. The Englishman has bagged 8 league goals so far this season, and he has been so crucial to Pochettino’s plans. Thus, a difficult game has just been made a whole lot tougher. Tottenham do, of course, have solutions, but there is nobody else in the Premier League quite on the level of Harry Kane at present.
Unsurprisingly, this has generated a lot of responses from Tottenham fans online, but perhaps more surprisingly, most of them are remaining pretty confident. Whilst they recognise that this is a blow, they also think that Pochettino has enough up his sleeve to make-do, with Fernando Llorente the obvious choice to come in.
Drawing on past form and highlighting their talented squad, see what Tottenham fans have been saying on Twitter below…
