Mourinho definitely needs to be keeping tabs on these 2 American wonderkids

They may have been out in the wilderness over the past couple of seasons but our local Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern remain steadfast they support the biggest club in the world.

Indeed, Barcelona and Real Madrid fans may have something pretty significant to say about such a claim but, regardless, you cannot deny that United are one of the game’s greatest names.

And, with that knowledge, Jose Mourinho knows that he has the ability to attract the best talent to the club the world over – something he’s surely going to continue doing over the coming seasons.

Our landlord fancies himself as a bit of a globetrotter, though, and reckons he’s got a few tips for the United boss in terms of players he should sign from all over the place.

He also thinks the United States have one of the most exciting batches of young talent coming through at the moment, too, and so here are two American wonderkids the Portuguese manager needs to be keeping tabs on…

Julian Green

Julian Green caught many onlookers’ attention in pre-season last summer with his goals for Bayern Munich.

Since, though, he’s moved to VFB Stuttgart in a bid to earn more first-team football in his developing years. That could be hugely beneficial for a player who clearly wants to make the most out of his talent with him getting underway well at the club with a goal in his first couple of appearances.

Kellyn Acosta

Acosta currently plies his trade for FC Dallas and made the MLS all-stars team last year.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder likes to spray passes about the pitch and with United seemingly running out of time with Michael Carrick, he could be someone to keep an eye on. Acosta can play as a full-back, too, and has a decent turn of pace about him meaning he can glide past opposition challenges and put opposing attackers under pressure.
