Mourinho needs to get Woodward to sanction these 2 transfers next week

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see a few new players come to Old Trafford over the next week…

The Red Devils appear to have turned a corner over the last few weeks, and many in the Tavern want their train to keep on rolling.

Jose Mourinho has finally begun to get the best out of his squad, and whilst they have done well – it is clear that the current Man Utd squad is as weak as it has been in years.

The sale of Morgan Schneiderlin over the last week is sure to have generated some funds for Mourinho, and our landlord is calling them to be reinvested straight back into the first team at Old Trafford. If the Red Devils want to secure Champions League football this season, they simply must improve their squad – and the sooner that is done the better.

So with that said, Mourinho needs to get Woodward to sanction these 2 transfers next week…

Kostas Manolas

Man Utd desperately need to bring in a central defender, especially with their current injury situation at the back, and Kostas Manolas could be the perfect target.

He is strong, technical and robust – and he would be perfect for the Premier League.

The duo of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones have done well this season, but they aren’t good enough to man Mourinho’s defence long term – and so he must look towards alternatives.

Reports in recent weeks have hinted towards an impending move, and it is time for Woodward to make it happen.

 Tiemoue Bakayoko

With regards to midfield targets, ESPN are reporting that Tiemoue Bakayoko has been made a priority target for Mourinho, and it is easy to see why.

A player not too dissimilar to Michael Carrick, Bakayoko could be the perfect successor to the veteran Englishman, with the 35-year-old closing in on the final years of his playing career.

A few months playing alongside Carrick will prove invaluable for Bakayoko, and long term – this deal could be perfect.
