Tottenham faced up against West Ham today at the London Stadium, beating them 1-0 in a fairly unspectacular game. You’d be forgiven for expecting players like Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, or even Eric Dier, to be receiving the bulk of praise. Not today. A hero has revealed themselves in the most unlikely form. Moussa Sissoko.
Since making his big money move from Newcastle in 2016, the French midfielder hasn’t exactly lit the world alight with his performances. For the most part, he’s bundled on at the end of a game to provide some energy when it’s most need. Which he does very well, granted. The more technical parts of the game, however, less so.
This was not to be the case today. Moussa Sissoko provided the performance of his life, which consisted of a very uncharacteristic display of technical genius.

He’s rightly been criticised at times however today has to be one of the best performances Moussa Sissoko has had in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.
Of course opinion won’t suit all agendas but it is only right to praise a player when he plays well for our football club.#THFC #COYS
