Many Toffees fans were moaning about the lack of movement by the Scotsman during the transfer window and this may perhaps be why.
Odds are being slashed left, right and centre as we speak for the Everton manager to be sacked by the end of the day.
The former Preston boss seems to have been at Goodison for years and has helped them reach European competition and attract some big name players. However several betting outlets have the odds on him getting sacked next at just 5/2.
You have to say that it’s rare for betting shops to get this sort of thing wrong, usually any ‘insider’ knowledge is shared with the bookies. That said, Charlie Adam’s odds to become a Manchester United player on transfer deadline day were also slashed as punters made some huge bets and that turned out to be wrong.
Surely sacking Moyes would be a disaster for the club though? Despite the financial problems on Merseyside, Moyes has maintained Everton as a stable side, with a mixture of game winning talent, youth and old-heads.
Regardless of a slightly below-par season, you have to admit that you still would never rule out the Toffees should they play your club. Furthermore, injuries to key players have also affected their season tremendously. To add to their woes, talismanic midfielder Tim Cahill, has missed the last few matches due to his appearances in the Asia Cup and the Scot also has no other options up top than his mis-firing strikers.
It’s surely all hot air, unless Everton have been seeking a replacement already or perhaps Moyesey is just fed up of having nothing to spend.
As soon as we know anything… you will probably already know.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
