The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have spent most of today celebrating their side’s draw with Juventus. Draws have rarely been a reason for celebration amongst Tottenham fans over the last year or two, owing to their recent success, but there was very much a party atmosphere when the referee blew the final whistle on Wednesday.
Indeed, after going 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes, Tottenham looked down and out against the Italian giants.
However, a masterful comeback spearheaded by a few of Tottenham’s key men put them back amongst the action – and they were, in the end, very good value for their draw.
A number of players deserve credit for their performance, but none more so than Mousa Dembele. The Belgian was an absolute unit in the heart of the midfield, providing incredible poise, strength and composure whilst dominating the middle of the park.
Following the game, Tottenham fans have, unsurprisingly, lauded the midfielder for his performance. Taking to Twitter to discuss the display, they’re celebrating the ‘world class’ quality that the Belgian brought to Turin.
