Newcastle and Sunderland fight for French forward

NewcastleNewcastle and Sunderland fans in The Transfer Tavern tonight are debating where a talented French forward would be better furthering his career.

The Chronicle is reporting that both clubs are interested in bringing 22 year old Frenchman Anthony Koura to the Premier League.

The forward currently plys his trade in the French second tier for Nimes. The youngster can operate on the right or left wing and centre forward so will add something to either sides squad.

It is reported that the player will be available for between €700,000 and €1 million and he has featured in 10 of Nimes 13 fixtures to date.

With both sides looking for more going forward as they look to escape the Premier League trap door and a battle looks set for both clubs to entice the youngster to the North East.

The debate between the two sets of fans in The Transfer Tavern is set to go on long into the night, and the landlord is on standby should the arguments get heated.
