Being a Newcastle fan at the moment is a tough situation to be in. Everywhere you look there are friends of Mike Ashley spouting supposed facts and figures about the way the businessman is running the club and one of the biggest culprits of that is Dennis Wise, who worked for Ashley at Newcastle back in 2008.

Plenty of Newcastle fans on Twitter cottoned on to the fact that Ashley wasn’t delivering on his promise to give Rafa Benitez ‘every penny the club makes’ over the summer and what should have been a very good summer full of promise and signings turned into a hellish affair for the Magpies as they were left watching Benitez suffer in the transfer market as he tried to wheel and deal for players to improve his squad on the cheap.
Now the window is over, the likes of Dennis Wise are getting a lot of airtime on both Sky Sports and Bein Sports where he’s been quoting figures to back up the apparent good work that’s been going into Newcastle United behind the scenes. Unfortunately for him, the fans are having none of it and whilst they’ve been politely asking the ex-Chelsea midfielder to come and speak to them on various different radio shows and podcasts he’s been blocking fans and refusing to respond.

The fans will continue to slate Wise until he can justify his claims about Ashley’s spending and it doesn’t look anyone will be able to do that anytime soon.
