Newcastle United fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted at the news the club could be bringing a striker back to the club.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Newcastle United are readying a January bid to bring Andy Carroll back to St James Park.
Carroll left Newcastle in January 2011 for Liverpool in a move that cost the Anfield club £35 million, but after failing to set the world alight at the club left for West Ham United for £15 million.
Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren is looking to boost his options up top with only Alexander Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez the only form strikers at the club.
Carroll has endured a torrid time with injuries during his time at the Boleyn Ground, but his determination and commitment to the club’s cause has seen him become a favourite with the West Ham fans during his time at the club.
The Newcastle United fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted with the club looking into bringing Carroll back to the club, and would love to see the local boy back in the famous black and white striped shirt.
