Newcastle United: Fans accuse Steve Bruce of being Mike Ashley’s new ‘yes man’

After Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce gave his thoughts on the season ticket initiative on Sky Sports via the Chronicle ahead of a crucial December period for his side, some supporters have since slammed his stance on the whole situation and claim he is just another ‘Ashley yes man’.

The support at St. James’ Park has dwindled this season due to the protests surrounding owner Mike Ashley’s controversial tenure, with the relationship between fans and the board being at its most sour in years.

Of course, the fans’ distaste for Ashley’s reign is no surprise to anyone given the fact it’s been well documented for years, but this season in particular has seen a notable drop in home attendees as a result of the tension.

Now, with Bruce praising the free half-season ticket movement, some supporters have gathered on social media and voiced their opinion over the matter – hinting that the former Sunderland boss is playing right into Ashley’s hands.
